A microwavable whole grain batter comprising whole grains, at least one leavening agent, at least one texturizing agent, and water;
- wherein the whole grains comprise at least 10 wt % of the total batter weight.
A method of making a microwavable whole grain batter comprising mixing at least 10 wt % whole grains, at least one leavening agent, and at least one texturizing agent to form a dry mixture;
- then adding water to the dry mixture in an amount sufficient to form a batter.
