Abstract
An IL-1β binding molecule, in particular an antibody to human IL-1β, especially a human antibody to human IL-1β is provided, wherein the CDRs of the heavy and light chains have amino acid sequences as defined, for use in the treatment of an IL-1 mediated disease or disorder, e.g. osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and other inflammatory arthritides.
Claims18
An isolated IL-1β binding molecule or antigen binding fragment thereof, comprising
- a) a heavy chain variable domain (VH) comprising amino acids 20 to 137 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1;
- b) a light chain variable domain (VL) comprising amino acids 20 to 126 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:2;
- c) a VH comprising amino acids 20 to 137 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1 and a VL comprising amino acids 20 to 126 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:2;
- and
- d) the three complementarity determining regions (CDRs) of a VH comprising amino acids 20 to 137 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1 and the three CDRs of a VL comprising amino acids 20 to 126 of the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:2.
