Abstract
A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for automated data entry performs a data recognition function on a document to recognize data from a plurality of fields including information entered by a user into at least one field, identifies at least one field that has an issue with recognized data from the field, compiles at least one correction page formatted to resolve the issue for each identified field of the document after completion of the correction page by the user, prints each correction page, and performs a data recognition function on each correction page, including information entered by the user in each field of each correction page, to resolve the issue for each identified field of the document.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for automated data entry utilizing a system including a processor, the method comprising:
- performing a data recognition function on a document, via the processor, to recognize data from a plurality of fields including information entered by a user into at least one field;
- identifying, via the processor, at least one field that has an issue with recognized data from the field;
- compiling at least one correction page formatted to resolve the issue for each identified field of the document after completion of the correction page by the user;
- printing each correction page;
- and
- performing, via the processor, a data recognition function on each correction page, including information entered by the user in each field of each correction page, to resolve the issue for each identified field of the document.
A system for automated data entry, the system comprising:
- a printer to print documents;
- a scanner to scan documents;
- and
- a processor configured with logic to:
- perform a data recognition function on a scanned document so as to recognize data from the plurality of fields of the scanned document including information entered by a user into at least one field;
- identify at least one field of the scanned document that has an issue with recognized data from the field;
- compile at least one correction page to be printed by the printer, wherein each correction page is formatted to resolve the issue for each identified field of the scanned document after completion of the correction page by the user;
- and
- perform a data recognition function on each correction page that has been scanned by the scanner, including information entered by the user in each field of each correction page, to resolve the issue for each identified field of the scanned document.
A computer program product for automated data entry, comprising:
- a computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therewith, the computer readable program code configured to:
- perform a data recognition function on a scanned document so as to recognize data from the plurality of fields of the scanned document including information entered by a user into at least one field;
- identify at least one field of the scanned document that has an issue with recognized data from the field;
- compile at least one correction page to be printed to facilitate entry of data into at least one field of the correction page by the user, wherein each correction page is formatted to resolve the issue for each identified field of the scanned document after completion of the correction page by the user;
- and
- perform a data recognition function on each correction page that has been scanned, including information entered by the user in each field of each correction page, to resolve the issue for each identified field of the scanned document.
