Abstract
A controller for a brushless motor that includes an input for receiving an analog signal, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for sampling the analog signal, and a processor. The processor starts the ADC during a first electrical half-cycle and reads the ADC during a second electrical half-cycle of the motor. Additionally, a motor system that includes the controller.
Claims18
A controller for a brushless motor, the controller comprising an input for receiving an analog signal, an analog-to-digital converter for sampling the analog signal, and a processor, wherein the processor starts the analog-to-digital converter during a first electrical half-cycle and reads the analog-to-digital converter during a second electrical half-cycle of the motor.
A controller for a brushless motor, the controller comprising a first input for receiving a position-sensor signal, a second input for receiving an analog signal, an analog-to-digital converter for sampling the analog signal, and a processor, wherein the processor starts the analog-to-digital converter in response to a first edge and reads the analog-to-digital converter in response to a second edge of the position-sensor signal.
