Claims15
A triarylamine compound having Formula I, Formula II, or Formula III:
- where:
- R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and are alkyl groups, where two or more of the alkyl groups may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R4, R5, and R6 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R5 and R6 may be joined together to form a cyclic group;
- R7 and R8 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R9 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups, where two or more of R7, R8 and R9 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R10 and R11 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R12 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups, where two or more of R10, R11 and R12 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, aryl groups, and arylamino groups, or R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group.
An electroactive composition comprising:
- (a) a triarylamine compound host having Formula I, Formula II, or Formula III:
- where:
- R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and are alkyl groups, where two or more of the alkyl groups may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R4, R5, and R6 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R5 and R6 may be joined together to form a cyclic group;
- R7 and R8 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R9 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups,
- where two or more of R7, R8 and R9 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R10 and R11 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R12 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups, where two or more of R10, R11 and R12 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, aryl groups, and arylamino groups, or R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group;
- and
- (b) an organometallic dopant capable of electroluminescent having an emission maximum between 380 and 750 nm.
An organic electronic device comprising a first electrical contact layer, a second electrical contact layer, and at least one active layer therebetween, wherein the active layer comprises a triarylamine compound having Formula I, Formula II, or Formula III:
- where:
- R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and are alkyl groups, where two or more of the alkyl groups may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R4, R5, and R6 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R5 and R6 may be joined together to form a cyclic group;
- R7 and R8 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R9 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups, where two or more of R7, R8 and R9 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- R10 and R11 are the same or different and are alkyl groups
- R12 is selected from the group consisting of H, D, and alkyl groups, where two or more of R10, R11 and R12 may be joined together to form a cyclic or multicyclic group;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, aryl groups, and arylamino groups, or R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group.
