A triarylamine compound having Formula I:
- where:
- R1 through R12 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of H, D, alkyl groups, and aryl groups, where adjacent R groups may be joined together to form a cyclic group, with the proviso that (i) at least one of R1 through R6 is alkyl or aryl, and (ii) at least one of R7 through R12 is alkyl or aryl;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group.
An electroactive composition comprising:
- (a) a triarylamine compound host having Formula I:
- where:
- R1 through R12 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of H, D, alkyl groups, and aryl groups, where adjacent R groups may be joined together to form a cyclic group, with the proviso that (i) at least one of R1 through R6 is alkyl or aryl, and (ii) at least one of R7 through R12 is alkyl or aryl;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group;
- and
- (b) an organometallic dopant capable of electroluminescent having an emission maximum between 380 and 750 nm.
An organic electronic device comprising a first electrical contact layer, a second electrical contact layer, and at least one active layer therebetween, wherein the active layer comprises a triarylamine to compound having Formula I:
- where:
- R1 through R12 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of H, D, alkyl groups, and aryl groups, where adjacent R groups may be joined together to form a cyclic group, with the proviso that (i) at least one of R1 through R6 is alkyl or aryl, and (ii) at least one of R7 through R12 is alkyl or aryl;
- and
- R13 and R14 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups and aryl groups, where R13 and R14 may be joined together to form a cyclic group.
The device of 17, wherein the active layer consists essentially of the compound having Formula I
