Abstract
Photolabile fragrance storage substances capable of photo-induced release of odorant aldehydes and odorant ketones are described in addition to a process for long-lasting fragrancing of surfaces and a process for producing said fragrance storage substances.
Claims16
A composition comprising at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I):
- wherein,
- R, R1, R2, and R8 are each independently H or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkylene group of C1 to C20, with R1 and R2 optionally forming a cyclic system;
- and
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7, are each independently H, a halogen, NO2, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms.
A method for the release of a carbonyl compound of general structure (V)
- from at least one β-hydroxy ketone of general structure (I)
- wherein R, R1, R2, and R8 are each independently H or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkylene group of C1 to C20, with RI and R2 optionally forming a cyclic system;
- and
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7, are each independently H, a halogen, NO2, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms,
- said method comprising the step of exposing the at least one β-hydroxy ketone of general structure (I) to electromagnetic radiation of wavelength from 200 to 400 nm.
A washing or cleaning agent comprising at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I):
- wherein,
- R, R1, R2, and R8 are each independently H or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkylene group of C1 to C20, with R1 and R2 optionally forming a cyclic system;
- and
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7, are each independently H, a halogen, NO2, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms.
A cosmetic agent comprising at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I):
- wherein,
- R, R1, R2, and R8 are each independently H or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkylene group of C1 to C20, with R1 and R2 optionally forming a cyclic system;
- and
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7, are each independently H, a halogen, NO2, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms;
- and
- wherein said at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I) functions as a scent precursor.
An air freshener composition comprising at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I):
- wherein,
- R, R1, R2, and R8 are each independently H or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkylene group of C1 to C20, with R1 and R2 optionally forming a cyclic system;
- and
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7, are each independently H, a halogen, NO2, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group with 1 to 15 carbon atoms;
- and
- wherein said at least one β-hydroxy ketone of the general structure (I) functions as a scent precursor.
