Abstract
The present invention provides compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable compositions thereof, and methods for the use thereof for the treatment of any of a number of conditions or diseases in which hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF) or the activities thereof, or agonists or antagonists thereof, have a therapeutically useful role.
Claims16
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound for modulating HGF/c-Met activity having the structure (I):
- or a geometrical isomer, tautomer, salt or hydrate thereof;
- wherein at least one A is N;
- wherein each occurrence of A is independently C or N;
- wherein Ar is a 6-10 membered aryl group or a 5-10 membered heteroaryl group;
- R1 is H, R5, COR4 or SO2R4;
- R2 is one or more H, hydroxy, halogen, cyano, OR4, nitro, NH2, NR4R4, NR4COR4, NR4SO2R4, CONR4R4, COOR4, SO2R4, ethynyl, optionally substituted aliphatic, alicyclic, heteroaliphatic, heterocyclic, aromatic, or heteroaromatic;
- R3 is one or more H, hydroxy, halogen, cyano, OR4, nitro, NH2, NR4R4, NR4COR4, NR4SO2R4, CONR4R4, COOR4, SO2R4, ethynyl, optionally substituted aliphatic, alicyclic, heteroaliphatic, heterocyclic, aromatic, or heteroaromatic;
- each occurrence of R4 is independently H, hydroxy, OR5, NH2, NR5R5, NR5COR5, NR5SO2R5, CONR5R5, or optionally substituted aliphatic, alicyclic, heteroaliphatic, heterocyclic, aromatic, or heteroaromatic;
- and
- each occurrence of R5 is independently H, hydroxy, or an optionally substituted aliphatic, alicyclic, heteroaliphatic, heterocyclic, aromatic, or heteroaromatic;
- and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent;
- with the proviso that a compound having the following structure is excluded
- wherein Ar, R1, R2 and R3 are same as described above.
