Abstract
A sustained-release formulation for an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, comprising an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and at least two gel-forming polymers, and methods of manufacture thereof. The acetylcholinesterase inhibitor preferably comprises donepezil.

A sustained-release formulation for an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, comprising an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and at least two gel-forming polymers.
A method for manufacturing a sustained-release formulation comprising an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and at least two gel-forming polymers, the method comprising mixing said acetylcholinesterase inhibitor with at least one optional excipient and a solvent to form a wet granulate;
- mixing said wet granulate with said at least two gel-forming polymers, and optional excipients and compressing said mixture to form tablets.
