Abstract
The present invention relates to a series of therapeutic material processing devices stacked into a column, hereby creating a bio material process plant with extremely small foot-print and all the processing devices being of single-use capabilities for lowest possible cost and methods of operating said column.

A bioreactor factory device comprising a production unit for cultivating biological cells and for producing one or more chemical compounds, said production unit comprising at least three interconnected and stacked capsules, wherein said at least three capsules of the production unit is a bioreactor capsule, a first pumping capsule, which is a capsule integrated reciprocating diaphragm pump based on single-use materials and a second pumping capsule which is a capsule integrated reciprocating diaphragm pump based on single-use materials, wherein the first pumping capsule is positioned as the top capsule and the second pumping capsule is positioned as the bottom capsule in the stack of the production unit, said first pumping capsule and said second pumping capsule being in operable and liquid contact with each other and capable of regulating liquid to and from said bioreactor capsule.
A down stream processing unit comprising at least two interconnected and stacked capsules, wherein said at least two capsules are one down stream processing capsule and one pumping capsule which is a capsule integrated reciprocating diaphragm pump based on single-use materials.
