Secondary cell and method of producing same

A method of producing a secondary cell, the secondary cell comprising:

• a cell case of a rectangular cuboid shape having an opening;
• a cell lid configured to seal the opening in the cell case;
• an electrode assembly provided in a space defined by the cell case and the cell lid;
• and
• an insulation cover configured to electrically insulate between the cell case and the electrode assembly, the insulation cover comprising:
• a bottom face part facing the opening in the cell case and having four sides;
• and side face parts formed along at least two opposite sides of the four sides of the bottom face part, wherein
• the method comprises a step in which the electrode assembly presses the insulation cover, as a result of which boundaries between the bottom face part and the side face parts bend, and the electrode assembly is housed in the cell case along with the insulation cover.
