Abstract
The present invention provides mesothelin peptide fragments corresponding to the CA125 binding site of mesothelin. The peptide fragments find use in disrupting the binding interaction between mesothelin and CA 125, for example, in the treatment and prevention of cancers that require the interaction of mesothelin and CA125 for growth, progression and/or metastasis.
Claims30
A polypeptide comprising a mesothelin fragment no longer than amino acid residues 296-390 of mesothelin, wherein the polypeptide specifically binds to CA125.
A method of inhibiting CA125/mesothelin-dependent cell attachment comprising contacting a cell expressing CA125 with a polypeptide comprising a mesothelin fragment no longer than amino acid residues 296-390 of mesothelin.
A method of inhibiting a cancer mediated by CA125/mesothelin-dependent cell attachment comprising contacting a cell expressing CA125 with a polypeptide comprising a mesothelin fragment no longer than amino acid residues 296-390 of mesothelin.
