Printing control apparatus and printing control method

A method for controlling a printing control apparatus configured, in executing printing on both surfaces of a continuous sheet, after printing on a first surface of the continuous sheet is executed by using a printing unit, to perform control for executing printing on a second surface of the continuous sheet by reversing the surfaces of the continuous sheet upside down by using a reversal unit configured to reverse the surfaces of the sheet upside down, the method comprising:

• inputting an instruction for executing an interruption print job while executing printing by the printing unit;
• and
• executing control, if printing of a two-sided print job on the continuous sheet has been currently executed by the printing unit in a case where the instruction for executing the interruption print job is input by the input unit, for suspending the two-sided print job in a state where the continuous sheet used in the two-sided print job is held by the reversal unit, for causing the printing unit to execute the interruption print job according to the input instruction for executing the interruption print job, and for resuming processing of the two-sided print job on the continuous sheet that has been held by the reversal unit after the interruption print job is completed.

A computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by a printing control apparatus configured, in executing printing on both surfaces of a continuous sheet, after printing on a first surface of the continuous sheet is executed by using a printing unit, to perform control for executing printing on a second surface of the continuous sheet by reversing the surfaces of the continuous sheet upside down by using a reversal unit configured to reverse the surfaces of the sheet upside down, cause the printing control apparatus to perform operations comprising:

• inputting an instruction for executing an interruption print job while executing printing by the printing unit;
• and
• executing control, if printing of a two-sided print job on the continuous sheet has been currently executed by the printing unit in a case where the instruction for executing the interruption print job is input by the input unit, for suspending the two-sided print job in a state where the continuous sheet used in the two-sided print job is held by the reversal unit, for causing the printing unit to execute the interruption print job according to the input instruction for executing the interruption print job, and for resuming processing of the two-sided print job on the continuous sheet that has been held by the reversal unit after the interruption print job is completed.
