Printing control apparatus and printing control method

A method for controlling a printing control apparatus configured, in executing printing on both surfaces of a continuous sheet, after printing on a first surface of the continuous sheet is executed by using a printing unit, to perform control for executing printing on a second surface of the continuous sheet by reversing the surfaces of the continuous sheet with a reversal unit configured to reverse the surfaces of the sheet, the method comprising:

• inputting an instruction for interruption printing while executing printing by the printing unit;
• and
• executing control, if the printing on the first surface of the continuous sheet is currently executed by the printing unit to execute two-sided printing of a preceding job on the continuous sheet based on a preceding job, in a case where an instruction for interruption printing is input, for executing the instructed interruption printing subsequently to the printing on the first surface of the continuous sheet based on the preceding job, and for supplying the printed continuous sheet to the reversal unit.

A computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which cause a computer to realize a printing control apparatus configured, in executing printing on both surfaces of a continuous sheet, after printing on a first surface of the continuous sheet is executed by using a printing unit, to perform control for executing printing on a second surface of the continuous sheet by reversing the surfaces of the continuous sheet with a reversal unit configured to reverse the surfaces of the sheet, and cause the computer to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• inputting an instruction for interruption printing while executing printing by the printing unit;
• and
• executing control, if the printing on the first surface of the continuous sheet is currently executed by the printing unit to execute two-sided printing of a preceding job on the continuous sheet based on a preceding job in a case where an instruction for interruption printing is input, for executing the instructed interruption printing subsequently to the printing on the first surface of the continuous sheet based on the preceding job, and for supplying the printed continuous sheet to the reversal unit.
