Communication method and radio communication apparatus

A transmission method executed by a transmission apparatus, comprising the steps of:

• generating:
• a first OFDM modulation signal, in which a plurality of subcarriers including a subcarrier allocated for a pilot symbol and a subcarrier allocated for a data symbol are provided in both a first time period and a second time period;
• and
• a second OFDM modulation signal, in which an in-phase component and a quadrature-phase component of a plurality of subcarriers are zero in the first time period, and in which a plurality of subcarriers including a subcarrier allocated for the pilot symbol and a subcarrier allocated for the data symbol are provided in the second time period;
• transmitting the first OFDM modulation signal from a first antenna;
• and
• transmitting the second OFDM modulation signal from a second antenna, and
• wherein data included in a data symbol of the second OFDM modulation signal that is allocated to a subcarrier of a first frequency at a first time is different from data included in a data symbol of the first OFDM modulation signal that is allocated to a subcarrier of the first frequency at the first time.
