Abstract
A method of a user equipment performing random access in a multi-carrier system comprises receiving mapping information through downlink component carriers, sending a random access preamble through uplink component carriers, and receiving a random access response through a specific downlink component carriers determined based on the mapping information.

A method of a user equipment performing random access in a multi-carrier system, the method comprising:
- receiving mapping information through downlink component carriers;
- sending a random access preamble through uplink component carriers;
- and
- receiving a random access response through a specific downlink component carrier determined based on the mapping information.

- a Radio Frequency (RF) unit configured to send or receive a radio signal;
- and
- a processor connected to the RF unit,
- wherein the processor is configured to receive mapping information through a broadcast channel included in downlink component carriers, send a random access preamble through uplink component carriers, and receive a random access response through a specific downlink component carriers determined based on the mapping information.
