Method for resource allocation, radio communication system, base station, and mobile station thereof

A radio communication system, said radio communication system comprising a base station and at least one mobile station, said base station comprising a first antenna system with at least two antenna elements, said base station and said at least one mobile station comprising a codebook, said base station being adapted to allocate resources in said radio communication system, said radio communication system comprising:

• means for transmitting reference signals from said base station to said at least one mobile station,
• and means for determining feedback information by said at least one mobile station;
• wherein said feedback information comprises a first component indicating at least one system description approximating a characteristic of a transmission channel between said base station and said at least one mobile station and wherein said radio communication system further comprises means for selecting at said base station a first pre-coding vector of said codebook for said at least one mobile station based on said feedback information.

A base station, said base station being adapted to allocate resources in a radio communication system, said base station comprising a first antenna system with at least two antenna elements and a codebook, said base station comprising:

• means for transmitting reference signals,
• and means for receiving a feedback information;
• wherein said feedback information comprises a first component indicating at least one system description approximating a characteristic of a transmission channel between said base station and said at least one mobile station and wherein said base station further comprises means for selecting a first pre-coding vector of said codebook for at least one mobile station based on said feedback information.

A mobile station, said mobile station comprising a codebook, said mobile station comprising:

• means for receiving reference signals,
• and mean for determining feedback information;
• wherein said feedback information comprises a first component indicating at least one system description approximating a characteristic of a transmission channel between a base station and said mobile station.
