Abstract
A rectifier bridge circuit is described for rectifying the phase voltage generated by a generator, including a positive half-bridge having multiple rectifier elements and a negative half-bridge having multiple rectifier elements. The rectifier elements each have a controllable switch having a diode connected in parallel. A control circuit is provided for switching the switches on and off. The switch-on time tswitch on setpoint and/or the switch-off time tswitch off setpoint of the switch is/are computed based on a characteristic map or a mathematical function.

A rectifier bridge circuit for rectifying the phase voltage generated by a generator, comprising:
- a positive half-bridge having multiple rectifier elements and a negative half-bridge having multiple rectifier elements, wherein the rectifier elements each have a controllable switch having a diode connected in parallel;
- and
- a control circuit for switching the switches on and off, wherein at least one of a switch-on time tswitch on setpoint and a switch-off time tswitch off setpoint of the switch is computed based on at least one of a characteristic map and a mathematical function.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein the at least one of the characteristic map and the mathematical function has as input parameters one of:
- (i) a generator rotational speed ng;
- (ii) a generator rotational speed ng and an excitation current IE;
- (iii) the generator rotational speed ng, the excitation current IE and a generator voltage UG;
- and (iv) the generator rotational speed ng, the excitation current IE and a rotational angle phi of the rotor.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein the at least one of the characteristic map and the mathematical function has as input parameters a generator rotational speed ng and a ratio of a switched-on duration to a theoretical maximum switched-on duration, and wherein the switched-on duration corresponds to a commutation time.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein the value tswitch on which is computed from at least one of the characteristic map and the mathematical function is used within the scope of a control.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, further comprising:
- a controller to adjust tswitch off based on tswitch off setpoint and tswitch off actual.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein the controller-based switch-on time is set to zero when the switch-on time of the switch exceeds the commutation time.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein a derivative action within the at least one of the characteristic map and the mathematical function is greater for at least one of a smaller excitation current and a lower rotational speed.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein the switch-on time of a switch is determined using a comparator.
The rectifier bridge circuit of claim 13, wherein a regulation minimizes the switched-off duration tswitch off to a value tswitch off min.
