An electrochromic material comprising:
- a metal-organic framework comprising
- a metal, and
- an organic compound comprising a functional group, wherein the organic compound forms a coordination complex with the metal.
An electrochromic device comprising:
- a first electrode and a second electrode opposite the first electrode;
- an electrochromic layer disposed on the first electrode or the second electrode, the electrochromic layer comprising an electrochromic material;
- and
- an electrolyte disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode,
- wherein the electrochromic material comprises a metal-organic framework comprising a metal and an organic compound comprising a functional group, wherein the organic compound forms a coordination complex with the metal.
