Abstract
A method for controlling a communication system comprising obtaining moving picture data, inquiring about processing capability with respect to the obtained moving picture data, changing a preset transfer rate of the moving picture data to a changed transfer rate based on the inquiry results, and transmitting the moving picture data using the preset transfer rate or the changed transfer rate.
Claims20
A transmission device for use in a communication system including at least one reception device, the transmission device comprising:
- a reading unit configured to obtain moving picture data;
- a control unit configured to inquire with the at least one reception device about processing capability with respect to the moving picture data obtained by the reading unit and to change a preset transfer rate of the moving picture data obtained by the reading unit to a changed transfer rate based on the results of the inquiry;
- and
- a transmission unit configured to transmit the moving picture data obtained by the reading unit to the reception device using the preset transfer rate or the changed transfer rate.
A reception device for use in a communication system including at least one transmission device, the reception device comprising:
- a communication unit configured to transmit processing capability with respect to moving picture data obtained by the at least one transmission device to the transmission device,
- wherein the transmission device changes a preset transfer rate of the moving picture data to a changed transfer rate based on the processing capability transmitted by the reception device,
- wherein the moving picture data is received from the transmission device using the preset transfer rate or the changed transfer rate.
A reception device for use in a communication system including at least one transmission device, the reception device comprising:
- an inquiring unit configured to inquire with the at least on transmission device about a preset transfer rate with respect to receiving moving picture data from the transmission device,
- wherein instructions are transmitted to the at least one transmission device to change the preset transfer rate if the preset transfer rate does not match a processing capability for the moving picture data.
- wherein the at least one transmission device changes the preset transfer rate to a changed transfer rate based on the instructions, and
- wherein the moving picture data is received from the at least one transmission device using the changed transfer rate.
A method for controlling a communication system, the method comprising the steps of:
- obtaining moving picture data;
- inquiring about processing capability with respect to the obtained moving picture data;
- changing a preset transfer rate of the moving picture data to a changed transfer rate based on the results of the inquiring step;
- and
- transmitting the moving picture data using the preset transfer rate or the changed transfer rate.
A method for controlling a communication system, the method comprising the steps of:
- transmitting processing capability with respect to moving picture data;
- changing a preset transfer rate of the moving picture data to a changed transfer rate based on the processing capability transmitted in the transmitting step;
- and
- receiving the moving picture data using the preset transfer rate or the changed transfer rate.
A method for controlling a communication system, the method comprising the steps of:
- inquiring about a preset transfer rate with respect to receiving moving picture data;
- transmitting instructions to change the preset transfer rate if the preset transfer rate does not match a processing capability for the moving picture data;
- changing the preset transfer rate to a changed transfer rate based on the instructions;
- and
- receiving the moving picture data using the changed transfer rate.
