System for remotely erasing data, method, server, and mobile device thereof, and computer program product

A system for remotely erasing data, comprising:

• a mobile device with a user account of a service website set up, the mobile device comprising:
• a wireless communication unit;
• an internal storage unit;
• an external storage unit;
• and
• a processing unit coupled to the wireless communication unit, the internal storage unit, and the external storage unit;
• and
• a server providing the service website, the server comprising:
• a user database recording a relationship between the user account and the mobile device;
• and
• a control unit coupled to the user database,
• wherein when the service website receives a data erasing request corresponding to the user account, the control unit sends a remote control command to the mobile device corresponding to the user account according to the relationship recorded in the user database,
• after the mobile device receives the remote control command through the wireless communication unit, the processing unit erases data stored in the external storage unit thereof according to the remote control command.

A server providing a service website, comprising:

• a user database recording a relationship between a user account and a mobile device, wherein the user account of the service website is set up for the mobile device;
• and
• a control unit coupled to the user database,
• wherein when the service website receives a data erasing request corresponding to the user account, the control unit sends a remote control command to the mobile device corresponding to the user account according to the relationship recorded in the user database, for ordering the mobile device to erase data stored in an external storage unit of the mobile device according to the remote control command.

A mobile device, with a user account of a service website set up for the mobile device, the mobile device comprising:

• a wireless communication unit receiving a remote control command from a server, wherein the remote control command is sent when the server receives a data erasing request corresponding to the user account through the service website;
• an internal storage unit;
• an external storage unit;
• and
• a processing unit coupled to the wireless communication unit, the internal storage unit, and the external storage unit;
• the processing unit erasing data stored in the external storage unit according to the remote control command.
