Abstract
A tensioner (1) for a belt drive comprises a base(2, 3) defining an axis (A), a mobile element (4) hinged onto axis (A) and defining a guiding surface (22), an elastic helical element (18) having a square or rectangular cross section for actuating the mobile element (4) and an idle pulley (5) surrounding the guiding surface (22). The tensioner (1) further comprises a journal bearing (4, 29, 32, 33) for supporting the pulley (5) on the guiding surface (22).
Claims19
A tensioner (1) for a belt drive comprising a base (2, 3) defining an axis (A), a mobile element (4) hinged to said axis (A) defining a guiding surface (22), an elastic element (18) for actuating said mobile element (4) and a pulley (5) mounted on said mobile element (4) about said guiding surface (22) and rotatable about a second axis (B) offset with respect to said axis (A), a locking element (13) for axially fastening said mobile element (4) to said base (2, 3), an annular friction element (16) interposed between said mobile element (4) and said locking element and loaded in axial direction by a spring (12) interposed between said fiction element (16) and one of said either mobile element (4) or locking element, and a journal bearing (4, 29, 32, 33) adapted to be fed by oil to support said pulley (5) on said guiding surface (22) and wherein said elastic element (18) is helical and presents a square or rectangular cross section.
