Abstract

System connector (1) consisting of a first housing half (2) and a second housing half (10) matching it, the two housing halves (2, 10) being snappable and lockable to each other via a locking device (40, 41, 42) and in which at least one contact module (3, 11) is arranged in both housing halves (2, 10), which includes socket-like and/or pin-like electrical contact elements (3a, 11a), characterized by the fact that an adapter module (20) can be mounted on the contact module (3, 11), which has a first connection side (20a) and a second connection side (20b), each of which includes cylindrical adapter elements (21) arranged in a row, in which socket contacts or pin contacts arc arranged, that the adapter module (20) on its first connection side (20a) can be connected to at least one contact module (3, 11), which is arranged within one of the housing halves (2, 10), and that the socket contacts or pin contacts of the adapter element (20) of the second connection side (20b) are suitable for electrical contacting of the contact modules of the matching housing halves (2, 10).
