Abstract
A consolidation point enclosure for a telecommunications network, including a base member for supporting the consolidation point on a mounting surface; and first and second bracket parts coupled to opposite end sections of a generally planar connection section of the base member, wherein the bracket parts are adapted to couple opposite ends sections of a patch panel to the base member so that a common insertion direction of modular jacks of the patch panel is substantially parallel to the generally planar connection section of the base member.
Claims40
A consolidation point enclosure for a telecommunications network, comprising:
- (a) a base member for supporting the consolidation point on a mounting surface;
- and
- (b) first and second bracket parts coupled to opposite end sections of a generally planar connection section of the base member,
- wherein the bracket parts are adapted to couple opposite ends sections of a patch panel to the base member so that a common insertion direction of modular jacks of the patch panel is substantially parallel to the generally planar connection section of the base member.
A method of installing a consolidation point on a mounting surface, comprising:
- (a) providing a consolidation point enclosure for a telecommunications network, including:
- (1) a base member for supporting the consolidation point on a mounting surface;
- and
- (2) first and second bracket parts coupled to opposite end sections of a generally planar connection section of the base member, wherein the bracket parts are adapted to couple opposite ends sections of a patch panel to the base member so that a common insertion direction of modular jacks of the patch panel is substantially parallel to the generally planar connection section of the base member;
- (b) locating the base member of the consolidation point enclosure on the mounting surface;
- (c) coupling a patch panel to the bracket parts of the consolidation point enclosure;
- and
- (d) coupling a lid member of the consolidation point enclosure to the bracket parts.
