Abstract
Cleavable compositions that comprise a polar head, cleavable linker, and a hydrophobic tail; and methods for using them to isolate hydrophobic molecules.
Claims6
A cleavable surfactant/detergent compound of the following formula:
- (A) wherein the polar head is chosen from:
- cystine,
- cystine containing peptides with 6 amino acids or less,
- furanose,
- pyranose,
- polysaccharides with 3 carbohydrates or less, and
- polyethylene glycol, wherein n is 1-12 above;
- and
- (B) the cleavable linker is chosen from:
- where R1 is independently —H or —(CH2)0-19CH3,
- R2 is independently —CH3,
- where X is —NH2 or OH,
- R3 is —H, —CH3, —F, —Cl, —Br, —I, or, —CN.
