Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for delivery of siRNA to specific cells or tissue. More particularly, the present invention relates to compositions and methods for cell type-specific delivery of anti-HIV siRNAs via fusion to an anti-gp120 aptamer.
Claims12
A molecule comprising an aptamer linked to a Dicer substrate siRNA, wherein the aptamer is an anti-HIV gp120 aptamer and wherein the Dicer substrate siRNA is a double stranded nucleic acid that targets an HIV-1 target sequence.
A method of cell-specific delivery of siRNA comprising administering a molecule to a mammalian cell infected by HIV-1, wherein the molecule comprises an aptamer linked to a Dicer substrate siRNA, wherein the aptamer is an anti-HIV gp120 aptamer and wherein the Dicer substrate siRNA is a double stranded nucleic acid that targets an HIV-1 target sequence.
