Abstract
The synchronous sequential processing of multi-sampled phase (SSP MSP) includes a method, a system and an apparatus for implementing programmable algorithms for analyzing a very wide range of low and high frequency wave-forms. The SSP MSP comprises a synchronous sequential processor (SSP) for real time capturing and processing of in-coming wave-form and a programmable computing unit (PCU) for controlling SSP operations and supporting adaptive signal analysis algorithms. The SSP MSP further comprises a circuit for Sequential Data Recovery from Multi Sampled Phase (SDR MSP).

A method of synchronous sequential processing (SSP) of multi-sampled phase, utilizing sequential processing stages (SPS) for capturing samples of and recovering data from a received signal and a programmable control unit (PCU) for supporting operations of the SPS;
- wherein operations of the SPS comprise the steps of:
- capturing such multiple samples within every time interval expected between transitions of the received signal;
- detecting phases of the received signal transitions, by utilizing such received signal samples;
- estimating lengths of received signal pulses delimited by the received signal transitions, by utilizing such phases of signal transitions;
- recovering data transmitted by the received signal, by utilizing such estimates of pulses lengths;
- wherein
- signals requesting processing arguments for real-time operations performed by the SPS, are generated by the SPS and sent to the PCU,
- such real time arguments are supplied by the PCU and utilized by the SPS.
A method of synchronous sequential processing (SSP) of multi-sampled phase, utilizing sequential processing stages (SPS) for capturing samples of and recovering data from a received signal and a programmable control unit (PCU) for supporting operations of the SPS;
- wherein operations of the SPS comprise the steps of:
- capturing such multiple samples within every time interval expected between transitions of the received signal;
- detecting phases of the received signal transitions, by utilizing such received signal samples;
- recovering data transmitted by the received signal, by utilizing such phases of signal transitions;
- wherein
- signals requesting processing arguments for real time operations performed by the SPS, are generated by the SPS and sent to the PCU,
- such real time arguments are supplied by the PCU and utilized by the SPS.
A method of synchronous sequential processing (SSP) of multi-sampled phase, utilizing a programmable control unit (PCU) and sequential processing stages (SPS) for capturing samples of and recovering data from a received signal;
- the SSP method comprising the steps of:
- utilizing said PCU for
- controlling said SPS by defining functions performed by the SPS
- or supplying processing arguments for real time operations of the SPS;
- utilizing the SPS for
- capturing such multiple samples within every time interval expected between transitions of the received signal,
- detecting phases of the received signal transitions by processing such received signal,
- recovering data transmitted by the received signal, by utilizing such phases of signal transitions.
A method of synchronous sequential processing (SSP), for capturing samples of and recovering data from a received signal by using sequential processing stages (SPS) driven by clocks synchronous to a sampling clock;
- wherein the SPS perform operations comprising the steps of:
- capturing such multiple samples, within every time interval expected between transitions of the received signal, by utilizing sub-clocks of the sampling clock;
- detecting phases of said transitions of received signal, by using such samples of received signal;
- recovering data transmitted by the received signal, by utilizing such phases of signal transitions;
- wherein
- an output register of a particular sequential processing stage is fed back to an input of the same stage in order to supply an argument for one of this stage operations performed later,
- or an output register of a particular sequential stage is retained over next operation or operations, in order to be used in a non-consecutive later operation performed by other sequential stage;
- wherein
- such feedback from the earlier to later operation or such retention of the output register, enable processing of received signal having very wide frequency ranges.
