Abstract
A display apparatus includes a display panel and an optical member. The display panel includes a plurality of a pixel and displays a 2D image. The optical member includes a plurality of a lens, each having a plurality of a focal point and configured such that at least two pixels of the display panel correspond to one 3D pixel. The optical member divides the 2D image into left and right-eye images by using the lenses of the optical member.
Claims20
A display apparatus comprising:
- a display panel comprising a plurality of a pixel arranged in a matrix, and displaying a 2D image;
- and
- an optical member on the display panel, comprising a plurality of a lens, each lens including a plurality of a focal point and configured such that at least two pixels of the display panel correspond to one 3D pixel, and dividing the 2D image of the display panel into left and right eye images by using the lenses.
A method of forming a display apparatus, the method comprising:
- forming a display panel comprising a plurality of a pixel including sub-pixels arranged in a matrix, and a black matrix disposed between the pixels, the display panel displaying a 2D image;
- forming an optical member comprising a plurality of a lens, each lens including a plurality of a focal point and configured such that at least two pixels of the display panel correspond to one 3D pixel, the optical member dividing the 2D image of the display panel into left and right eye images by using the lenses;
- and
- disposing the optical member on the display panel.
