An optical assembly comprising at least one polymeric surface and at least one layer of a cured encapsulant, wherein the encapsulant, in the uncured liquid state, comprises at least one high durability polymer (HDP), at least one unsaturated monomer and/or oligomer, and at least one photoinitiator.
A photo/thermo curable liquid encapsulant formulation for optical assemblies having at least one polymeric surface, the formulation comprising at least one high durability polymer (HDP), at least one unsaturated monomer and/or oligomer, and at least one photoinitiator.
