A photovoltaic module comprising at least one layer or film of a cured encapsulant, wherein the encapsulant in the uncured liquid state comprises at least one high durability polymer (HDP), at least one unsaturated monomer and/or oligomer, and at least one photoinitiator.
A liquid encapsulant formulation for an optical photovoltaic module assembly comprising at least one high durability polymer (HDP), at least one unsaturated monomer and/or oligomer, and at least one photoinitiator, the liquid encapsulant being polymerizable and/or cross-linkable in response to light.
A device capable of providing electrical potential and/or current when irradiated by light, in the range of wavelengths of from 200 to 1,200 nanometers, comprising at least one layer or film of a cured encapsulant, wherein the encapsulant in the uncured liquid state comprises at least one high durability polymer (HDP), at least one unsaturated monomer and/or oligomer, and at least one photoinitiator.
