Abstract
A cutting tool includes a tool unit having a rotary cutting blade and a handle extending rearwardly from the tool unit, so that the handle can be grasped by a hand of an operator for moving the cutting tool. The handle includes a front end on the side of the tool unit, a rear end on the side opposite to the front end, a front region including the front end, an intermediate part, and a rear region including the rear end. The front region extends between the tool unit and the intermediate part. The rear region extends rearwardly from the intermediate part. The rear end is configured as a free end. At least the intermediate part and the rear region are curved toward the same direction.
Claims16
A cutting tool comprising:
- a tool unit having a rotary cutting blade;
- and
- a handle extending from the tool unit, so that an operator can grasp the handle and move the cutting tool in a cutting direction for cutting a workpiece by the rotary cutting blade;
- wherein:
- the handle extends in parallel to a surface of the rotary cutting blade and includes a front end and a rear end;
- the front end is positioned on the side of the tool unit and on a front side with respect to the cutting direction;
- the rear end is configured as a free end;
- as viewed from a lateral side when a cutting depth into the workpiece by the rotary cutting blade is set to be maximum, the handle has a top part convexed upwardly with a first curvature factor, a down-turning front region on the front side of the top part, and a down-turning rear region on the rear side of the top part, wherein a distance between the top part and the front end is shorter than a distance between the top part and the rear end, and the rear region is convexed upwardly with a second curvature factor smaller than the first curvature factor.
A cutting tool comprising:
- a tool unit having a rotary cutting blade;
- and
- a handle extending rearwardly from the tool unit, so that the handle can be grasped by a hand of an operator for moving the cutting tool, wherein:
- the handle includes a front end on the side of the tool unit, a rear end on the side opposite to the front end, a front region including the front end, an intermediate part, and a rear region including the rear end;
- the front region extends between the tool unit and the intermediate part;
- the rear region extends rearwardly from the intermediate part;
- the rear end is configured as a free end;
- and
- at least the intermediate part and the rear region are curved toward the same direction.
