Connector assembling jig

A connector assembling jig which is to be used for a housing (20) including a main body (22) with terminal accommodating portions (21) and locking pieces (23) for locking and retaining terminal fittings (10) inserted respectively to proper positions in the terminal accommodating portions (21) and formed so that each locking piece (23) projects out from one side surface of the main body (22) if the corresponding terminal fitting (10) is inserted insufficiently in the terminal accommodating portion (21), and holds the housing (20) and enables detection of insufficient insertion of the terminal fittings (10) when the terminal fittings (10) are inserted into the housing (20), comprising:

• a holder (30) including an accommodating recess (34) for accommodating the housing (20) while positioning the housing (20);
• an insufficient insertion detecting mechanism (32) in the holder (30) and set to an insufficient insertion detecting state when any locking piece (23) of the housing (20) projects out from the one side surface of the main body (22);
• at least one positioning groove (68) formed in an inner side surface of the accommodating recess (34) and adapted to receive at least one positioning rib (24) projecting in a thickness direction of the housing (20), an inner surface of the positioning groove (68) being substantially flush and continuous with an inner side surface of the accommodating recess (34) adjacent to the inner side surface where the positioning groove (68) is formed.
