Disclosed herein are vaso-occlusive devices for forming occluding the vasculature of a patient. More particularly, disclosed herein are vaso-occlusive devices comprising at least one polymer structure and methods of making and using these devices.

A vaso-occlusive device comprising a core element having an outer surface and a polymer structure surrounding a substantial portion of the outer surface of the core element, wherein the polymer structure is a multi-layered polymeric structure, comprising an inner polymer member and an outer polymer member, wherein the outer polymer member covers the inner polymer member.
