Abstract
To verify that a mobile gaming device is in communications with an intended server that provides activities and/or services to a player through the mobile gaming device and maintains information related to these activities and/or services, a verification server determines one or more pieces of the maintained information and sends the determined information to a verification device as a confirmation that the mobile gaming device is in communication with the intended server.

A method comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of a verification server, from a verification device a request to verify that a mobile gaming device is in communications with a gaming server;
- in response to the request, determining, by the processor, an indicator;
- and
- sending, by the processor, the indicator to the verification device.

- receiving from a verification device a request to verify that a mobile gaming device is in communications with a gaming server;
- in response to the request, using identification information to determine an indicator, in which the indicator comprises information obtained by the gaming server as a result of a player of the mobile gaming device engaging in one or more gaming activities;

- sending the indicator to the verification device.
