Abstract
The present invention provides a Cinnamomum subavenium extract for inhibiting melanogenesis. The present invention also provides a composition for inhibiting melanogenesis including compounds inhibit tyrosinase activity.
Claims10
A Cinnamomum subavenium extract obtained from the following steps:
- (a) extracting stems of Cinnamomum subavenium by organic solvent;
- (b) adding product from (a) into water as suspension;
- (c) adding chloroform solution to the suspension to generate layers;
- (d) separating chloroform layer from others;
- (e) applying chloroform layer to column liquid chromatography;
- and
- (f) eluting said extract with an alkane and ester mixture.
