A nanoparticle having a core comprising metal and/or semiconductor atoms attached to which is one or more ligands capable of attaching to a tumour biomarker for use in imaging a tumour using electrical impedance tomography.
A method of obtaining an image of a tumour located in a body of a mammal, said method comprising targeting nanoparticles having a core comprising metal and/or semiconductor atoms to which are linked one or more ligands capable of attaching to the tumour and imaging the tumour by detecting location of the nanoparticles using electrical impedance tomography (EIT).
Use of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) in combination with nanoparticles having a core comprising metal and/or semiconductor atoms to which are linked one or more ligands for imaging a tumour.
