Led module

An LED module with a plurality of LED package units arranged in at least two rows through a plurality of connecting units and a plurality of coupling units, said LED module comprising:

• said LED package units each having a submount, at least four spaced-apart first engaging portions coupled to said submount, at least four first conductive portions extending from said submount to said first engaging portions, respectively, and at least one LED chip positioned on said submount and connected electrically to said corresponding first conductive portions of said first engaging portions;
• said connecting units each having a first main body, at least two second engaging portions provided on said first main body, and at least one second conductive portion having two opposite end sections extending respectively to said second engaging portions;
• a plurality of coupling units each having a second main body, and at least two third engaging portions provided on said second main body, said third engaging portions having a structure similar to that of said second engaging portions and said first engaging portions;
• said LED package units being interconnected to each other in said rows through said first engaging portions thereof and said second engaging portions of said connecting units, and said LED package units in one row being interconnected that in another one row through said first engaging portions thereof and said third engaging portions of said coupling units thus said corresponding LED chips of said LED package units electrically connect each other through said two end sections of said second conductive portion of each of said connecting units contacting electrically and respectively said first conductive portions of said LED package units.

An LED module with a plurality of LED package units arranged in at least two rows through a plurality of connecting units, said LED module comprising:

• said LED package units h having a submount, at least two spaced-apart first engaging portions coupled to said submount, at least two first conductive portions extending from said submount to said first engaging portions, respectively, and at least one LED chip positioned on said submount and connected electrically to said corresponding first engaging portions;
• said connecting units being configured as a plurality of first connecting components and a plurality of second connecting components, each of said first and second connecting components including a first main body, at least two second engaging portions provided on said first main body, and at least one second conductive portion having two opposite end sections extending respectively to said second engaging portions, said first main body of each of said first connecting components having opposite first and second ends of similar structure, said first main body of each of said second connecting components having opposite first and second ends of complementary mating structures, so that said first end of one of said second connecting components can be connected to another one of said second end of said second connecting components in said two adjacent rows;
• each of said first and second connecting components interconnecting two adjacent ones of said LED package units by engaging said second engaging portions of one of said first and second connecting components with said first engaging portions of two adjacent ones of said LED package units in each row, respectively;
• and
• said two end sections of said second conductive portion of each of said first and second connecting components contacting electrically and respectively said firs:
• conductive portions of two adjacent ones of said LED package units so as to interconnect electrically said LED chips of said LED package units.
