Abstract
This clip (10) for holding two parts together comprises means that snap into an opening in the first part and a central housing (26) for receiving and retaining a male portion on the second part by means of catches (28, 29). The clip (10) comprises spring means allowing sideways displacement of the catch (28, 29) so that it occupies either a locked position in which it projects into the central housing (26) to prevent axial movement of the male portion (27), or a position of release of the male portion (27) in which it is withdrawn from the central housing (26). The clip is also provided with means for causing the catches (27, 28) to move to their locked positions automatically by snapping the clip (10) onto the first part.

Clip (10) for holding a first and a second piece (19, 20) together, the first piece (19) has an opening (21) in which the clip (10) is snapped and the second piece (20) has a tang (27) for insertion in said opening (21), the clip (10) comprises:
- a summit base (11),
- a pair of external lateral legs (12, 13) returned elastically in lateral direction (D2) towards the outside of clip (10), after axial insertion of said external legs (12, 13) in the opening (21) to engage the external legs (12, 13) and to ensure that the clip (10) is snapped in the first piece (19),
- a pair of internal lateral legs (14, 15), each adjacent to an associated external leg (12, 13), and delimiting, in combination with the summit base (11) a central space (26) for axial insertion of tang (27) between the internal legs (14, 15),
- a catch element (28, 29) carried by each internal leg (14, 15) in direction of the central space (26) for retaining the tang (27) in the central space (26),
- the clip (10) is characterized in that each internal leg (14, 15) comprises elastic elements for lateral displacement of the corresponding catch element (28, 29), in order to occupy selectively a locked position projecting inside the central space (26) for axial blocking of tang (27), or a tang (27) release position away from the central space (26), and in that the clip (10) is provided with actuating means for the displacement of the catch elements (27, 28) towards their locking positions, which are automatically commanded by snapping the clip (10) in the first piece (19).
