Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of matrix metalloproteinase MMP-10 in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition useful for thrombolytic therapy, it also being possible for said composition to contain a plasminogen activator. Additionally, the present invention relates to said pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of thrombotic disorders.

A method of preparing a medicament useful for thrombolytic therapy, which comprises mixing a matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10 with a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient or vehicle.
A pharmaceutical combination for simultaneous, separate or sequential administration, characterized in that it comprises a matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10 and a plasminogen activator mixed with pharmaceutically-acceptable excipient or vehicle.
A kit characterized in that it comprises the matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10 and a plasminogen activator as a pharmaceutical combination for their simultaneous, separate or sequential administration for thrombolytic treatment.
Method for thrombolytic treatment and therapy comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective quantity of a matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10.
A method for the treatment of ischemic stroke comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10.
A method for the treatment of carotid artery thrombosis comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of matrix metalloproteinase-10 MMP-10.
