A method, a device and a system are provided for processing data in a first network component comprising the steps of (i) the data is received by the first network component from a second network component; and (ii) the data is processed by a filter function according to which the whole data or a portion of the data is used.

A communication system having network components, comprising:
- at least one of the network components including a device receiving data from another of the network components and processing the data in a processor unit programmed to process the data by a filter function according to which all or a portion of the data is used.
