Abstract
Biocompatible wound closure devices including an elongate body and a plug member are useful for wound repair.

A wound closure device comprising:
- an elongate body having a proximal end and a distal end;
- a plug member having a tissue facing surface;
- and
- a hinge connecting the tissue facing surface of the plug member to the elongate body,
- wherein the plug member comprises at least one reactive group.
