Abstract
Devices and methods for determining fallopian tube occlusion. The methods may include determining fallopian tube occlusions through a pressurization or volumetric determination.
Claims37
A method to detect fallopian tube occlusion, comprising:
- visually identifying a first cornua of a first fallopian tube through a transcervical approach, wherein the first fallopian tube was subjected to a procedure to attempt to occlude the first fallopian tube;
- coupling a device to the first cornua to fluidly separate the first cornua from a remainder of the uterus;
- pressurizing the first cornua;
- and
- monitoring the pressurization of the first cornua to determine if the first fallopian tube is occluded.
2 more elements
A method to determine fallopian tube occlusion, comprising:
- distending a uterus with a first fluid, the uterus including at least one fallopian tube and a first cornua of a first fallopian tube, wherein the first fallopian tube was subjected to a procedure to attempt to occlude the first fallopian tube;
- visually identifying the first cornua of the first fallopian tube through a transcervical approach,
- coupling a device to the first cornua to fluidly separate a sealed portion of the first cornua from the remainder of the uterus,
- applying a vacuum to the sealed portion of the first cornua to evacuate a first fluid in the sealed portion of the first cornua;
- pressurizing the first cornua with a second fluid, and
- monitoring the volume of the second fluid within the first cornua to determine if the first fallopian tube is occluded.
3 more elements
A device comprising:
- at least one sealing member to fluidly separate an first cornua from a remainder of a uterus;
- at least one lumen connected with the at least one sealing member and a pressure source to pressurize the first cornua of a first fallopian tube;
- and
- a monitor connected with the lumen to measure a pressurization of the first cornua to determine if the first fallopian tube is occluded.
1 more element
A device comprising:
- at least one sealing member to fluidly separate a first cornua from a remainder of a uterus to create a sealed portion;
- a first lumen connected with the at least one sealing member and configured to apply a vacuum to evacuate a first fluid from the sealed portion of the first cornua of a first fallopian tube;
- a second lumen connected with the at least one sealing member and configured to pressurize the first cornua with a second fluid;
- and
- a monitor connected with the second lumen to measure the volume of the second fluid within the first cornua to determine if the first fallopian tube is occluded.
