Abstract
The invention relates to cationic siloxane derivatives for use especially as fungicides and/or antiadhesives. The cationic siloxane derivatives have the formula (I), wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R4′, R5 and n are as defined in the description.

A method for the fungicidal protection of a material, intermediate or product said method comprises adding an effective amount of a salt compound or a composition comprising a cation of formula I,
- wherein
- each of R1, R2 and R3, independently of the others, is C1-C30-alkyl, C6-C14-aryl-C1-C30-alkyl or C3-C10-cycloalkyl-C1-C30-alkyl, wherein aryl or cycloalkyl is unsubstituted or substituted;
- each R4 is, independently of the other, C1-C30-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C10-cycloalkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C14-aryl, hydroxy, C1-C30-alkoxy, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C30-cycloalkoxy, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C30-aryloxy, C1-C30-alkanoyloxy, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C10-cycloalkyl-C1-C30-alkanoyloxy, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C14-aryl-C1-C30-alkanoyloxy, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C10-cycloalkylcarbonyloxy or unsubstituted or substituted C6-C14-aroyloxy,
- and R4′ is hydrogen,
- or R4 and R4′ together are oxo;
- R5 is, independently of the other, C1-C7-alkyl;
- and
- n is 1 to about 50;
- and one or more anions to form a neutral salt.
