Abstract
A system for providing security for an electronic device comprising an embeddable security device and a remote portable device. In operation, when the embeddable security device and the remote portable device are proximate to each other, the embeddable security component will not trigger an external alarm system. However, when the two devices are not proximate, the embeddable security device is configured to emit a signal that activates the external alarm system.
Claims23
A system comprising:
- an embeddable security device configured to:
- in response to a first wireless signal not being received between the embeddable security device and a remote device, transmit a second wireless signal configured to cause a first electronic article surveillance (EAS) system to emit an alarm signal, the first EAS system being external to both the embeddable security device and the remote device.
A system comprising:
- an embeddable security device configured to:
- in response to a first signal not being received between the embeddable security device and a remote portable device, transmit a second signal configured to cause a first electronic article surveillance (EAS) system to emit an alarm signal, the first EAS system being external to both the embeddable security device and the remote portable device.
A system comprising:
- an embeddable security device configured to:
- in response to a first wireless signal not being received between the embeddable security device and a remote portable device:
- transmit a second wireless signal configured to cause a first electronic article surveillance (EAS) system to emit an alarm signal, the first EAS system being external to both the embeddable security device and the remote device;
- and
- transmit a third wireless signal configured to cause a second electronic article surveillance (EAS) system to emit an alarm signal, the second EAS system being external to both the embeddable security device and the remote portable device;
- the second wireless signal, which is configured to cause the first EAS system to emit an alarm signal, having a frequency;
- and
- the third wireless signal, which is configured to cause the second EAS system to emit an alarm signal, having a frequency that is different from the frequency of the second wireless signal.
