Abstract
The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a system and method for determining annotations for a map. Location information for mobile devices and contextual information associated with users of mobile devices may be utilized to determine such annotations.
Claims49
A method, comprising:
- determining one or more labels associated with one or more mobile devices located within an area, based at least in part on contextual information associated with at least one of the one or more mobile devices;
- grouping the one or more labels into one or more clusters, based at least in part on similarity of labels and location information and temporal information for the one or more mobile devices within the area;
- and
- determining one or more annotations for a map corresponding to the area based at least in part on the one or more clusters of the one or more labels.

- a communication interface to receive signals from one or more mobile devices located within an area;
- and
- a special purpose computing device programmed with instructions to:
- determine one or more labels associated with the one or more mobile devices located within the area, based at least in part on contextual information associated with the one or more mobile devices;
- group the one or more labels into one or more clusters, based at least in part on similarity of labels and location information and temporal information for the one or more mobile devices within the area;
- and
