Sealable drain pipe coupling

A coupling to form a sealed joint between two pipes, said coupling comprising:

• a. a cylindrical seal made of rubber or similar material that expandably seals said two pipes when the seal axially compressed;
• b. means to axially compress said seal;
• c. said means being a housing comprising of two parts;
• d. said parts connected together by means of integrated threads, whereby said parts move towards each other when one part rotates in one direction, thereby reducing the overall length of the housing, and compressing/deforming the seal;
• and
• e. said housing having means for rotating and tightening.

A drain pipe coupling to sealably couple a new pipe to an existing drain pipe, the coupling comprising:

• a. A first tubular member and a second tubular member both having a top and a bottom sections;
• b. The first tubular member being able to screw into the second tubular member;
• c. The first tubular member having a smaller diameter than the second tubular member and is partially screwed inserted into the second member;
• d. said first tubular member having male threads on the outer surface of its bottom section, wherein, said second tubular member having female treads on part of its inner surface;
• said threads allowing the first tubular member to telescopically move into the second tubular member;
• e. said first tubular element partially inserted and screwed into the second tubular element telescopically;
• f. an elastic material stretched over the outer surfaces of the two tubular elements;
• one end of the elastic member attached to the top end of the first element and other end of the elastic member attached to the bottom end of the second tubular member;
• and
• g. a tubular sleeve located between the first tubular element and the elastic member to prevent the rotation of the elastic member as the first tubular member is rotated,
• whereby the elastic member deforms to sealable attach to the new and the drain pipe as the first tubular element is screwed into the second tubular element.
