Abstract
A system for mixing and mixing processes and structures are disclosed. In addition a nozzle used for mixing is disclosed.

A nozzle for use in mixing, the nozzle comprising a nipple connected to a structure having or capable of forming at least one partially enclosed channel, wherein the channel comprises two outlets through which a fluid may pass simultaneously.
A wastewater treatment system comprising:
- a source of pressurized gas connected to a supply line;
- a valve between the source of compressed air and a header;
- a first line connected to the header;
- a nozzle located inside a containment unit, wherein the nozzle is connected to the first line and comprises two outlets through which a pressurized gas may be released simultaneously.

A process for mixing in a wastewater treatment system comprising:
- introducing an intermittent and controlled burst of pressurized gas from a nozzle and into a containment unit in a wastewater treatment system, wherein
- a plurality of mixing bubbles of varying sizes is formed upon the burst, and
- at least two pluralities of mixing bubbles are introduced simultaneously from a nozzle.
