Tracking Database Deadlock

A method of tracking a deadlock in a computing system, the deadlock caused by at least one application, the computing system communicatively coupled to a computing device in a distributed manner, the computing device including the at least one application, the method comprising:

• generating a deadlock identifier by the computing system;
• transmitting a first response by the computing system to the at least one application, wherein the first response includes the deadlock identifier;
• extracting the deadlock identifier from the first response;
• identifying a source code line in the at least one application, wherein the source code line leads to the deadlock, and wherein the at least one application includes a plurality of source code lines;
• and
• transmitting a second response to the computing system by the at least one application, the second response comprising:
• the source code line;
• and
• the deadlock identifier.

A system of tracking a deadlock in a computing system, the deadlock caused by at least one application, the computing system communicatively coupled to a computing device in a distributed manner, the computing device including the at least one application, the system comprising:

• a first processor configured to:
• generate a deadlock identifier by the computing system;
• and
• transmit a first response by the computing system to the at least one application, wherein the first response includes the deadlock identifier;
• and
• a second processor configured to:
• extract the deadlock identifier from the first response;
• and
• identify a source code line in the at least one application, wherein the source code line leads to the deadlock, and wherein the at least one application includes a plurality of source code lines.
