Abstract
An electronic device on which a multi-window system operates. The electronic device includes a detecting unit to detect a switchover of an active window, and a volume control unit to change, when the switchover of the active window is a switchover to another window from a sound output window defined as a user interface for a process of outputting a sound, a volume setting value relating to the output sound by the process of the sound output window.

An electronic device on which a multi-window system operates, comprising:
- a detecting unit to detect a switchover of an active window;
- and
- a volume control unit to change, when the switchover of the active window is a switchover to another window from a sound output window defined as a user interface for a process of outputting a sound, a volume setting value relating to the output sound by the process of the sound output window.
A control method executed by an electronic device on which a multi-window system operates, said method comprising:
- detecting a switchover of an active window;
- and
- changing, when the switchover of the active window is a switchover from a sound output window to another window, a volume setting value relating to the output sound by a process of the sound output window.
A non-transitory storage medium storing a program that causes, when read and executed by the electronic device, the electronic device to perform:
- detecting a switchover of an active window;
- and
- changing, when the switchover of the active window is a switchover from a sound output window to another window, a volume setting value relating to an output sound by a process of the sound output window.
