Target element zoom

One or more computer-readable storage media embodying computer executable instructions, which when executed by one or more processors perform a method, comprising:

• receiving a request to perform a zoom operation at a focal point of a target element in a page displayed in a display area, wherein the request is received via two-finger tap input on a screen of a touch enabled device;
• determining an appropriate zoom factor for the zoom operation;
• and
• performing the zoom operation on the page using the appropriate zoom factor so that the target element remains within the display area with the focal point retained.

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• receiving a request to perform a layout zoom operation via two-finger tap input on a screen of a touch enabled device;
• selecting a target element that is located at a midpoint between positions of two fingers on the screen from the two-finger tap input;
• and
• performing the layout zoom operation on the target element so that the target element remains within the display area.
